Gillian is a Glasgow based freelance photographer who specialises in dance, events and sport photography. She became interested in photography through her love of travel and motorsport and this led to her interest in photographing sport. She completed her HND at City of Glasgow College and BA (Hons) Photography at City of Glasgow College/UWS. She originally put her efforts into capturing live action events and she could often be found at the side of a race track or a rugby pitch capturing the action as it unfolds. This then led her into photographing athletes portraits prior to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014 and then to projects involving collaborations with dancers. She can now be found photographing various events, particularly events involving dance as she has now developed a love for dancing Argentine Tango and she has discovered that she can multitask in dancing Tango and taking photographs at the same time.
