'Don't shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.' David Alan Harvey This quote became the basis for my movement project as I worked with professional dancers representing different genres to convey the emotion of dance. This project started out as an experiment of contrasting slow and fast shutter speeds and their effect on conveying movement. In involving professional dancers this then became a collaboration of two artists with a joint aim of conveying the energy and dynamism of dance through a series of still images. Interestingly dancers, like photographers, are visual people and each series of images represents aspects of their dance style and the spiritual nature of dance.
